What Are the “withdrawls” From Stopping Drinking?

Question by d.j.r.63: What are the “withdrawls” from stopping drinking?
A good friend has stopped drinking, and I have agreed to stand by her. We were both concerned with what to expect from “withdrawls”. No drinks for forty eight hours now and have heard that withdrawls may start up to three to four days after. When I say drinking, I mean at least a twelve pack of beer every night for the past two years. Can someone help with some insight?

There won’t be many physival withdrawals like throwing up or anything, but my uncle stopped cold turkey too and he started to become violent if no one would take him to the store, like throwing things, screaming, crying, saying things to hurt our feelings. If this happens, just be silent until they calm down, remind them that they are helping thier kidneys, liver, and blood pressure!! Stick by them, they’ll never forget it!!
