Crohn’s Disease Treatment in Boston?

I was diagnosed with a very atypical case of Crohn’s Disease this past May. While my doctor is wonderful, she has been coming up empty on an effective treatment plan. All biopsies, MRIs, CT scans come back positive for Crohn’s, but my symptoms are very unusual. I’m considering looking for a second opinion from a specialized center in the Boston area.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a doctor, clinic, or other resource in the Boston area for Crohn’s treatment?

It is hard for a doctor to find a medical treatment for a disease that treats every person a little different. After 27 years with crohn’s and 7 surgeries I learned about meditation and then yoga to help me keep control of my health. I have been off medication and have had no surgeries for several years now. I’m not healed because of yoga and meditation but it does help me find a balance and make better choice.

I have been going to boston hospitals for 15 years now and I highly recommend the doctors at either Tufts New England Medical OR Brigham and Womens. Ask about the drug “Remicade”.
Its an IV infusion every 6-8 weeks and I know many fellow crohnies that have gone in remission due to this AMAZING drug.
