OMG, I am so sorry for the previous post. I don’t know why people answer to just be so cruel. I am sure you know that sort of reaction comes from ignorance and not knowing addiction is a disease just like diabetes or anything else. Arghhhh People like that should end up in a car wreck and wake up after being pumped full of narcotics for a week already addicted! Anyway, to answer your question…the key to successfully withdrawing is *the slower the better. You should know that the relapse rate (esp. after 5 years) is 85-95%. and since you said “drug free” I take it switching to Suboxone isn’t appealing either. There is no magic diet, or pill that will make withdrawal any easier. Cold turkey can be fatal so be sure you do this under a doctors supervision. Reduce as slowly as possible.
